Scholarship and Outside Activities: My scholarship examines philosophical ways of understanding communication, culture, and identity. I enjoy studying and discussion undane (everyday) communication, the ways that human beings constitute our understandings of reality and identity, ethnography, the building of culture through media, and more. These interests are diverse. In each, however, I look at the impact of communication on idientity, and vice versa. I enjoy working with various UW-S activities and groups, including: UW-S Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered Work Group, Future Business Leaders of American chapter, and S.P.I.C.E. (Student and Professors Interacting in "Cool"Education).
