Jack Hajewski wins Google TV contest

Digital cinema student Jack Hajewski used his skills to place among the winners of the Google TV video contest.

Jack Hajewski, a senior studying digital cinema at UW-Superior, is among the 100 winners of the Google TV video contest on YouTube.

To view Hajewski's video, go to the GoogleTV contest channel on YouTube. Select the Views the Winners tab. His video is entry 51.

"I didn't expect to win because it was a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing," Hajewski said. "I only had a day left before the video submissions ended and I thought, let's give it a shot."

The 100 winners each receive a 46" Sony Internet TVs powered by Google TV.Hajewski is majoring in communicating arts and pursuing the digial cinema track under the media communication concentration.

Google launched the video contest to promote YouTube Leanback, a new way to watch YouTube videos on Google TV or any big screen. It invited users to create a video describing why they like Google TV. Winning submissions were based on originality, creativity, entertainment factor, technical execution, and how well they explain why they are excited about Google TV.
