Communicating Arts Department
News and Event Details
From Ivy Vainio:
I wanted to thank the Communicating Arts Department for their support, and hosting of, Tony Hernandez, 1984 Comm Arts graduate and this year's Distinguished Alumni Award recipient this past week. I appreciate the efforts of Professor Tom Notton who had Tony present in his Video Production classroom. As you will see from the photos, Tom set up an interview with Tony and Professor Ephraim Nikoi in the Black Box. Tom videotaped the interview and that video will be edited (with the help from Tom's students) and uploaded onto Tony's Immigrant Archive Project. The students in the class asked several questions to Tony after the interview was conducted. Tony was impressed with Tom's students and he let them know it.
It was great working with Tom Notton, and Tony Hernandez, to set this opportunity up for our students. A BIG thanks to Ephraim who agreed to be interviewed!
