Kay Biga is an assistant professor of Management/Business Law.  She is a business owner and attorney who has taught at UWS since 1998.  Her courses include business law, business ethics, strategic management, principles of management, small business management, international business, contracts, real property, wills & trusts and debtor rights & creditor remedies.

Ms. Biga has a Bachelor's Degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, a Juris Doctor Degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and a Master of Arts in Management Degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.  She is also a Rul 114 Qualified Mediator.

At UWS Ms. Biga serves on the Academic Service Learning committee and has been a First Year Seminar instructor.  She has received two Teaching with Technology grants and a Curricular/Co-curricular grant from the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.  Ms. Biga is the founder of the Duluth Superior Eco Rotary club and the president of the board of directors for the Pachel Foundation.

Ms. Biga has traveled to over 83 countries and recently completed a trip to the Falkland Islands and Antartica.
