On the following pages you will find descriptions of seventeen different logistics management positions. These descriptions are based on hundreds of interviews with current professionals in the field, nationwide surveys, and materials provided by human resource managers and management recruiters from a wide range of industries. The profiles are intended to give you an idea of what each position involves including the key responsibilities, earnings potential, required skills, and potential career paths. Each profile is also accompanied by quotes from current managers regarding their daily activities, what they like about their jobs, and what challenges they face.
Please note that many of the positions profiled are not entry-level jobs. These advanced positions are presented to give you an idea of the long range opportunities in logistics management.
