Teacher Education - Elementary - major and minor study areas
UW-Superior’s Teacher Education Department offers an elementary education major that prepares students to obtain certification to teach pre-kindergarten through sixth grade (ages birth through age 8) or first through seventh grade (ages 6 through age 12/13). Our Teacher Education Department offers a challenging curriculum, small class sizes, intensive interaction with faculty, and many opportunities to gain experience by working with children on campus, in classrooms, and as a student teacher or teaching intern. The program prepares students for licensure in Wisconsin, and the degree is acceptable in many other states.
