Nine graduating Seniors in Legal Studies/Criminal Justice Concentration gathered in Swenson on December 13, 2013 for the December LSTU Senior Experience Event.

Nine graduating Seniors in Legal Studies/Criminal Justice Concentration gathered in Swenson on December 13, 2013 for the December LSTU Senior Experience Event. Presenting seniors included:

Michael J. Beauto, Account Manager with Dr. Pepper/Snapple on his capstone with Mock Trial

Jennifer Larson, Essentia Human Resources Compliance Officer on her Internship/Independent Study related to compliance law

Scott Serre, future law enforcement officer on his capstone internship with Carlton County Jail and Sheriff's Department

Patrick Bittinger, military veteran and future law enforcement officer on his Thesis on ex-offenders and employment

Pamela Hicks, future counseling in CD on her Internship with the St. Louis County Jail-Counseling Program

Josh Hutchins, military veteran and future law enforcement officer on his internship with the Minnesota State Patrol, District 2700 in Duluth

Sarah Rautio, practicing mediator on her internship with Terch and Associates

Katlyn Shipley, future paralegal on her capstone with Mock Trial

Rachel Zubiate, future paralegal on her internship with the Douglas County District Attorney's Office, Superior

The speaker for the event was Duluth Police Chief Gordon Ramsay. Taylor Tengwall, a leader with Pre-Law Society, welcomed the group. Pre-Law Society sponsored the luncheon and gifts. The event was coordinated by Dr. Maria Stalzer Wyant Cuzzo of Legal Studies. Legal Studies faculty members attending also included Dr. George Wright, Dr. Gary Keveles and Dr. Christopher O'Connor. Graduating seniors were honored with Certificates and a complimentary gift. The next LSTU Senior Experience will be held in April 2014.
