Library Science Program

Program Description

UW-Superior's Library Science Program educates students to be leaders in information services and the use of information technology.  The program develops competent, confident and creative professionals who enjoy the information field and can instill this value in others.  Our graduates go on to positions in school, academic, specialized and public libraries, become researchers and information specialists, or pursue advanced degrees in the field.

The program integrates studies of information concepts and skills with experience using digital resources, systems, and environments.  Students explore new information resources and technologies and learn to apply them in libraries, media and technology centers, and other organizations.
