Because not all incoming students have music theory background, some may be unprepared for the quick pace of the freshman theory course.  The following lessons were organized by theory professor Dr. Norma Stevlingson to help prepare students for the rigors of music theory.  It is suggested that incoming freshmen use the following tutorials as an introduction to, or a review of, music theory. Familiarity with the rudiments of music theory will greatly enhance a student's potential for success in the music program.
