Hailed for his dramatic diversity, baritone Jeffrey Madison has performed a varied repertoire from grand opera, operetta, and musical comedy. 

Most recently, Mr. Madison made his Carnegie Hall debut as the baritone soloist in Neilson's Symphony No. 3, Faninal in Der Rosenkavalier, and the Father in Hansel and Gretel all with the Minnesota Orchestra. He performed the role of Silvio in I Pagliacci with Fargo-Moorhead Opera and Germont in La Traviata with Western Plains Opera. 

Locally, Mr. Madison performed the title role of Gianni Schicchi with Lyric Opera of the North and will return to the company to reprise the role of King Melchior in Amahl and the Night Visitors.

Mr. Madison also appeared as the Major General in the Pirates of Penzance for the summer 2010 Duluth Tall Ships Festival.

Other recent performances include Schaunard in La Bohème with the Minnesota Opera, Marcello in West Virginia Symphony's production of La Bohème, Bottom for Seattle Opera Young Artist's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, the title role of Falstaff as a guest artist with UCLA Opera Theater, Albert in Chautauqua Opera's production of Werther, andFrancois Villon in The Vagabond King, Danilo in The Merry Widow, Malatesta in Don Pasquale and Mr. Webb in Our Town all with Skylark Opera.

Mr. Madison has made appearances with the Chautauqua Orchestra, Kenwood Symphony, and the Valley Chamber Orchestra.  Upcoming performances include a return to Western Plains Opera to perform the title role of Gianni Schicchi and Silvio in I Pagliacci.

Mr. Madison also appeared with the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra singing Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen.

Mr. Madison is a past Metropolitan Opera National Auditions Council district winner and First Place winner in the Schubert Club Competition graduate division

Mr. Madison is the co-producer of the Superior Voices Benefit concert series which raises money for UW-Superior voice scholarships. He also is the scenic designer and scene builder for the UW-Superior Opera Workshop productions. 

 Mr. Madison earned his BM from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire where he recently received the Recent Outstanding Alumni Award and his MM and DMA from the University of Minnesota where he continues to study with tenor John DeHaan. Mr. Madison teaches studio voice, Class Voice, and Music Appreciation at UW-Superior.
