The UW-Superior Chamber Orchestra is the principal performance ensemble of the University Orchestras.
Under the direction of Dr. Erin Aldridge, the Chamber Orchestra specializes in performing both traditional and new compositions for string orchestra and is fast developing a reputation for innovative programming.
The orchestra maintains an active annual performance schedule, including collaborating with the University Choirs and Opera Theatre program and presenting the popular Music Department Concerto Competition. The orchestra has also performed internationally in China and Brazil.
The UW-Superior Symphony Orchestra combines strings, winds, brass, and percussion; performs 1-2 concerts per year; and serves as the principal orchestra for the UW-Superior Concerto Competition Orchestra.
