Approximately every two years, two of the university's large ensembles go on a tour of a foreign country.  It is the music department's goal that every music student involved in large ensembles should have the opportunity to perform abroad at least once during their time at UWS.  Previous tours include trips taken to Austria and Slovakia in 2002, Brazil in 2006, China in 2008, and Costa Rica in 2010.
