Approximately every two years, two of the university's large ensembles go on a tour of a foreign country.  It is the music department's goal that every music student involved in large ensembles should have the opportunity to perform abroad at least once during their time at UWS.  Previous tours include one taken in 2002 to Austria and Slovakia, one take in 2006 to Brazil, and one in 2008 to China.
