Dr. Jeffrey Madison, baritone and senior lecturer in voice at UW-Superior, will make his solo debut at Carnegie Hall on October 27 when he performs Nielson's "Symphony No. 3" with the Minnesota Orchestra.
An encore presentation of this concert will be performed on November 1at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
Also in November, Madison and Dr. Vicki Fingalson, soprano and assistant professor of voice and director of the Opera Workshop at UW-Superior, will reprise their roles of "Father" and "Sleep Fairy/Dew Fairy" respectively, in the Minnesota Orchestra's production of "Hansel and Gretel" on November 25, 26, and 27.
In addition, these two singers -- a married duo away from the concert hall -- performed with the Minnesota Orchestra in July as part of the Sommerfest concert series in the "Opera Finale: Der Rosenkavalier," singing the roles of "Faninal" and "Marianne."
