Dr. Brett Jones, assistant professor of percussion, wrote and premiered a collection of four-mallet marimba solos two years ago.  These works, which were intended as technique boosters, were published in August 2011 by the band and percussion publisher C-Alan Publications. 

This collection of nine solos, each focusing on a different hand motion, are preceded by pedagogical instructions to help students successfully maneuver the difficult techniques.  The work is entitled 'Suite Pepper,' and can be purchased through C-Alan Publications.
