Dr. Pamela Bowen Bustos, director of bands at UW-Superior, will accompany seven students majoring in music who have been selected to participate in the 2011 Wisconsin National Band Association Collegiate Honor Band to Wisconsin Rapids on January 20-22, 2011. 

The students will rehearse and perform with other Wisconsin college musicians for  two days. 

UW-Superior Honor Band participants are:

• Karyn Pederson,  Bassoon
  
• Emily Borra, French horn
  
• Mike Leuck, Trumpet
  
• Stacey Coggon, Euphonium
  
• Corey Coffman, Percussion
  

In addition, student Michael Ugrich will attend to observe the rehearsals as a conducting student. The conductors for this band are Wisconsin college directors.  Ugrich will be able to observe and evaluate rehearsal and conducting techniques of several professional conductors.
