This year's University Recital Series opens with violinist Erin Aldridge performing Bach sonatas and partitas without accompaniment.

Aldridge is associate professor of music at UW-Superior and concertmaster of the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra. She directs the UW-Superior orchestra and teaches strings.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Webb Recital Hall in Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center, 1805 Catlin Ave.

Tickets for individual performances are sold at the door if seats are available. Individual tickets cost $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
