UW-Superior's Percussion Ensemble and its steel drum ensemble COLD Steel present a special free concert in honor of the inauguration of Chancellor Renée Wachter at 7:30 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium in Old Main.
The concert's theme is "African Derivations.'" The concert will explore music with direct and in-direct African influences. The percussion ensemble performance will feature student soloists Cory Coffman, Mike Lueck, Chelsey Pavlovich, and Olivia Krause.
COLD Steel, the university's steel drum ensemble, pairs up with the steel band from the College of St. Scholastica, directed by Dr. Jeremy Craycraft, for an unforgettable evening of calypso magic.
