UW-Superior Symphonic Band

Join the UW-Superior Symphonic Band for "The Transforming Powers of Music," featuring student conductor Matthew Booth.

The UW-Superior Symphonic Band will perform works including the Florentiner March by Julius Fucik of Prague, Themes from Green Bushes by Australian composer Percy Grainger, and two works by American composer Scott McAllister, Gone and One Time at Band Camp. The Chamber Wind Ensemble will perform a movement from Suite in D by American composer Arthur Bird. The Full Brass Jackets will perform a minuet from Music for the Royal Fireworks by George Frideric Handel.

Featured as student conductor will be UW-Superior junior Matthew Booth, who is pursuing a degree in Instrumental Music Education.

Thorpe Langley Auditorium, Old Main

7:30 p.m.

Tickets: Adults - $5; Seniors/Students - $3
