"It's really great, really kind of a dream. Everything is new and clean and looks great and looks like the Yellowjacket Union," said Brooke Collins, a sophomore at UW-Superior who is a residence hall advisor at Hawkes Hall. Her older sister Brittany Hook, while a student at UW-Superior played a part in the planning process for the new facility and the younger sister feel's that special connection they now share with the facility. "That's pretty cool that she picked out some of the furniture. I really feel like I'm living in a residence hall and that is how it is supposed to feel."

Ross and Hawkes Halls' have been around since the 1960s but in the 80s Hawkes was no longer used as a residence hall and instead hosted community groups and organizations.

But after years of planning, and renovations the buildings are now a progressive example of what can be done when everyone works together.
