The Women's and Gender Studies program enables students to explore the experiences and perspectives of women in many different academic disciplines as well as to recognize the contributions women have made to society. The program focuses on the roles and images of women from a historical approach, and an exploration of the roles women play in society today in the family, employment, and education.

A minor in Women's Studies is a valuable addition to any major. Employers seek women and men who understand the dynamics of male-female interactions and perspectives.
