Program features:
- Programs offer small classes and emphasize practical experience.
- Many opportunities to work one-on-one with experienced faculty.
- Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center houses two theatres, a scene workshop, a television studio and editing suite, studios of Wisconsin Public Radio station (KUWS 91.3), and multi-media classrooms.
- Opportunities to work with on-campus professionals from Wisconsin Public Radio at KUWS 91.3 FM.
- Three network television stations in the Superior-Duluth metro area, one public broadcasting station and community access television offer numerous opportunities for internships and part-time jobs.
- Two daily newspapers serve the Superior-Duluth area as well as several weekly papers, which provide possible internships and jobs.
- Opportunities for internships and part-time jobs at the many local radio stations in the Superior-Duluth metro area.
- Scholarships available for students who have a major within the Communicating Arts Department.
- Students gain experience through campus organizations such as University Theatre, The Promethean student newspaper and the annual student video showcase.
- Opportunities to work with faculty in producing professional videos.
- UW-Superior offers a master's degree program in Communicating Arts with emphasis in speech communication, theatre and mass communication.

Communication is a vital skill, especially in the workplace, and people with good communication skills are always in demand.
