Printable version of this fact sheet

UW-Superior offers two options for students pursuing degrees in engineering: our Dual Degree Program and our Pre-Engineering Curriculum.

Dual Degree Program in Engineering

The Dual Degree Program in Engineering enables students to complete three years of mathematical study at UW-Superior and then transfer for two years of engineering study at either University of Wisconsin-Madison or Michigan Technological University. Upon completing the program, the student receives a bachelor of science degree from UW-Superior and an engineering degree from UW-Madison or Michigan Tech.

The Dual Degree Program offers many advantages. Students complete their mathematical studies through UW-Superior’s challenging and highly regarded mathematics program. Students benefit from small classes, work with talented faculty members, and receive one-on-one assistance whenever needed.

Pre-Engineering Curriculum

Students can transfer to one of several engineering schools after completing two or three years of study at UW-Superior. Our Pre-Engineering Curriculum enables students to take appropriate core courses for engineering in mathematics and the sciences. Also included are general courses in the humanities, social studies, and English. The selection of courses is based on the requirements of the school to which the student plans to transfer.
