UW-Superior's Business Administration major offers a concentration in finance. This concentration offers in-depth preparation in the key areas of finance -- money and capital markets, investments, and financial management -- while also providing a broad background in business through courses in accounting, marketing, management and economics. This broad background prepares students to seek jobs in finance as well as in other areas of business.

Program features:

• Faculty members have real-world experience in all areas of finance: accounting, finance, banking, investments and personal financial planning.

•  Small classes mean you get individual attention from faculty members.
   

•  The finance program is a solid mix of accounting, marketing, management and economics as well as finance. Finance students also take courses in areas such as managerial finance, taxation, insurance and investments.

• Erlanson Hall is home to the business program with modern multi-media classrooms and computer labs.
   
• The Superior-Duluth metro area offers many internships at banks, credit unions, financial services companies, and government agencies. Faculty members work with students to find internship opportunities.

Career Outlook:
Students completing this program are prepared for careers in corporate finance, banking and credit union management, brokerage, insurance sales and underwriting, personal financial planning, and tax consulting. These critical areas of the economy will always offer career opportunities for well-prepared graduates.
