
Pre-Professional Programs
Printable version of this fact sheetUW-Superior offers several pre-professional programs that enable students to prepare for admission to professional education programs. Pre-professional programs may lead to a bachelor's degree from UW-Superior, or students may transfer to another university or professional program after completing their basic requirements at UW-Superior.
Students who begin their studies at UW-Superior gain solid preparation in basic coursework through small classes and individual attention from faculty members. Pre-professional coursework at UW-Superior is designed to prepare students to take the appropriate admissions exams for professional programs.
UW-Superior also offers dual-degree programs in engineering and forestry.
The engineering dual-degree program enables students to complete three years of mathematical study at UW-Superior and then transfer for two years of engineering study at either University of Wisconsin-Madison or Michigan Technological University. Upon completing the program, the student receives a bachelor of science degree from UW-Superior and an engineering degree from UW-Madison or Michigan Tech.
The dual-degree program in forestry enables a student to study biology for three years at UW-Superior and then transfer to the forestry program at Michigan Technological University. After completing the requirements at both universities, the student receives a bachelor of science degree in biology from UW-Superior and a bachelor's degree in forestry from Michigan Tech.
