The ability to speak, write and understand another language is increasingly valuable in today's world. A Spanish minor is an excellent complement to virtually any major. UW-Superior's Spanish program introduces students to the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. Courses enable students to lay the groundwork for fluency in Spanish and to enhance practical language skills for specific career purposes.

Students may choose either the Spanish minor or the Spanish minor -- Teacher Certification – Ages 6-13 or 10-21. Students also may work with a faculty member to design their own Spanish Studies major through the Individually Designed Major. This program includes a special study abroad opportunity in conjunction with UW-Superior's cooperating institution in San Jose, Costa Rica.
