Our Yellowjacket athletic teams compete in
one of the country's most challenging Division
III conferences. Recent accomplishments include
winning the 2002 NCAA Division III national championship
in men's hockey, the 2004 conference championship
in women's hockey and the 2004 conference playoff
championship in softball. A member of our women's
track team placed fifth in the high jump at the
2005 NCAA national meet and a member of our men's track team qualified for the 2006 NCAA Indoor National Track Championships. In addition, both our men's and women's hockey teams qualified for the 2006 NCAA hockey national championship tournaments.
Our new Health & Wellness Center is
attracting quality
athletes to our campus. The center provides state-of-the-art
training and locker rooms, fitness center and
weight room. A complete indoor track hosts meets
and enables runners and jumpers to practice throughout
the year. A field house with drop-down batting
cages and enough space for fielding practice
lets softball and baseball players practice before
beginning their seasons with tours through southern
states.
But the Yellowjackets are about more than winning. Being a student-athlete here means you're part of a team that includes new friends who study together. Our programs have an excellent student-athlete retention rate and emphasize completing your degree. That's one reason Yellowjackets were chosen to be the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's scholar-athletes
of the year in 2005 and 2006.
