First Year Experience Class Art Murals on Display

Posted on Mar 9, 2010
The First Year Seminar Cooperative Mural Creation Class Displays their creations

This year the First Year Seminar participants in the Cooperative Mural Creations Class created two murals that are now on display outside of the Admission's Offices (Old Main 136 and Old Main 100).

One of the murals represents the journey a person takes from acceptance through graduation. The other mural represents the history of UW-Superior. The class, taught by Gloria Eslinger, focused on working in a team setting and actively creating an original idea, theme and mural based on their research.

The First Year Experience is designed to introduced first year students to the liberal arts through active and collaborative learning, critical thinking, and reflective judgment and is a great way for our students to connect to UW-Superior.
