Karl, Freshman at UWS from Plymouth, MN

How did you hear about UWS?

I was recruited by the Men's Soccer coach [Joe Mooney] my junior year in high school. I went to a few of their games and looked more into it.

Why did you choose UW-Superior?

The Biology and environmental science program and I really like the Twin Ports area.

How is college different from high school?

There's a lot more freedom, you have to learn how to manage your time better. You don't have your parents ragging on you to get your homework done.

What's your favorite spot on-campus?

I like the MWC, there's a lot to do there - weight room, ping pong, and basketball.

Besides soccer, what other extracurricular's would you like to get involved in?

I'd like to do intramurals in the winter and spring, like basketball and dodgeball.  

What do you like about UWS so far?

The people and professors are great. There's a lot of stuff to do around here.
