AGREEMENT
FOR TRANSFER BETWEEN
Nicolet Area Technical College
AND THE
University of Wisconsin-Superior
Nicolet Area Technical College,
Rhinelander, Wisconsin, is a branch campus within the Wisconsin Technical
College System. Nicolet is fully accredited by the North Central Wisconsin
Association of Colleges and Schools. The University of Wisconsin System has
granted permission for the University of Wisconsin-Superior to continue all
aspects of the existing relationship. In the interest of fostering
cooperation between our institutions, to better serve the transfer of
students from Nicolet Area Technical College to the University of
Wisconsin-Superior, hereby enter into this articulation agreement.
The following articles delineate the
understanding between Nicolet Area Technical College and the University of
Wisconsin-Superior.
Students will be encouraged to
complete the Associate of Arts degree at Nicolet Area Technical
College which fulfill the UW-Superior lower division general
education requirements as long as campus specific stipulations are
met. Those stipulations are expressed in terms of the 1996-98
UW-Superior catalog and the 1994-96 Nicolet Are Technical College
catalog.
Elementary Education majors should
be advised that liberal education requirements for Elementary
Education majors require more credits than the liberal education
requirements for all other UW-Superior-Superior students.
The general agreement refers to the
Associate of Arts or Science degree programs. This agreement does
not apply to non-college parallel technical programs.
Students who graduate after MAY,
1996 are subject to this articulation agreement between Nicolet Are
Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Transferring Nicolet Area Technical
College students will be treated as though they had been at
UW-Superior as freshmen and will be given the same priorities and
advantages as residential students providing they have met the
Associate of Arts or Science degrees at Nicolet Area Technical
College excluding non-transferable programs.
Representatives of Nicolet Area
Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Superior will
explore the development of program to program articulation
agreements including the Associate of Science and Associate of
Applied Science degrees.
Both institutions agree to monitor
the progress of the agreement, evaluate its effectivness, and make
suggestions to modify this agreement.
