Barb Tendrup Erickson

 Recipient of the Carl Vergamini Contributions to Yellowjacket Athletics Award

Barb Tendrup Erickson has provided support to Yellowjacket athletics since 1964 as a fan, volunteer, university employee and generous financial contributor.

Ms. Erickson's involvement with Yellowjacket athletics began when she enrolled at Wisconsin State University-Superior and became a dedicated fan. After graduating, she spent nearly 20 years assisting the athletics program as a board member and president of the UW-Superior Alumni Association. More recently, Ms. Erickson and her husband Steve Erickson, also an alumnus, have volunteered to work at numerous athletic events. They also are stalwart members of Jacket Ice, an organization that provides campus and community support for Yellowjacket hockey.

As UW-Superior's registrar, Ms. Erickson determines the eligibility of student athletes. She also serves on the UW-Superior Athletic Committee and the Wessman Arena Board, and in years past served as the university's Title IX coordinator. Today, she remains among the Yellowjackets' most avid fans, attending numerous men's and women's games each season to show her support.
