Patricia G. Sheils, a 1975 UW-Superior graduate, has illustrated her first children's book. 

Written by a southern Wisconsinite Maddy Coogen Pritchard, "Bear With Me" is geared to three- to six-year-old children and to parents teaching acceptance of diversity to their children. 

That's an appropriate theme for Sheils, who has a successful daycare in Ashland, Wis., and who makes presentations about the value of cultural diversity and other topics at various childcare conferences throughout the state. 

In "Bear With Me," Sheils has charmingly created 10 Teddy bears in vivid water colors.  From bright Red to Royal Blue, Sheils' colorful drawings truly symbolize the story's final line, "Remember - don't judge bears or people by their colors."
