Assessment is an essential aspect of teaching and learning.  Inquiry, research, discovery, reflection, and action about student learning are critical to the improvement of students' educational experience at UW-Superior.

Assessment of student learning also provides important evidence for the institutional accountability.  Our accreditation agency, the Higher Learning Commission, requires UW-Superior to document the processes, results, and reflections of student learning outcome assessment. 

THE OFFICE OF ASSESSMENT assists, supports, and coordinates program and institutional-level assessment activities at UW-Superior.  It is committed to doable, meaningful, and usable assessment.
