UW-Superior Softball Clinic: Pitching & Hitting

What will be covered?

Pitching:
The fundamentals of pitching, including control, will be taught. You will learn how to be a pitcher, rather than a thrower. We will work on different ways to throw the rise, drop, curve and changeup.

Hitting:
You will learn how to hit to all fields and how to hit the rise, drop and changeup. We will work on bunting, slapping, and hitting for power.

The Coach: Roger Plachta, Head Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Superior

Roger has been teaching softball to kids for the past 25 years. Roger is a two time All-American and has played in fifteen National Tournaments and Four World Tournaments. His team won the 1993 NAFA National Tournament and was runner up in the 1999 ASA National Tournament. UWS has gone on to play in the National Tournament in 2 of the past 4 years.
