Health & Wellness Center

Built: 2003
Facilities: A 115,000-square-foot building that includes an indoor track, fitness room, weight room, racquetball courts, climbing wall, classrooms and offices. The competition floor can handle an indoor track meet or be configured for multiple volleyball or basketball courts, or an indoor soccer field. This area also will be available for team conditioning and practices during inclement weather. The center includes our newly renovated Gates Physical Education Building with gymnasium, swimming pool, classrooms and labs

Siinto S. Wessman Arena

Built: 1970
Facilities:Home to the Yellowjacket men's and women's hockey teams. Ice sheet is 196 feet by 89 feet. Includes spectator seating for 1,500, locker rooms, and lobby with concession stand and meeting rooms. Wessman Arena received a new refrigeration system for its ice sheet in 2003. Additional locker room space is planned for 2004-05.

Outdoor Track

The outdoor track adjacent to Wessman Arena was upgraded in 1999 with a new cushioned running surface and additional facilities to host meets.

Ted Whereatt Field

Ted Whereatt Field is home to the Yellowjacket baseball team.

Soccer Field

UW-Superior is completing a new soccer field next to Ted Whereatt Field. The new facility, sodded in 2002, is located about one-half block west of Catlin Avenue at Faxon Street on UW-Superior's South Campus.

Wade Bowl

The Yellowjacket softball team currently is using quality softball fields in Superior and neighboring Duluth.

Nemadji Golf Course

The Yellowjacket golf team plays home matches at Nemadji Golf Course, located about three miles south of campus.
