Liebaert Field Complex is just east of the UW-Superior campus.

The Liebaert complex is located on 18th St. & Elm Ave. There are two fields in the complex.

Warm-Up Fields Top of Page

Teams may warm-up on the vacant baseball field(s) next to the UW-Superior softball field at Liebaert Fields. In the event of inclement weather, the UW-Superior field house (Health and Wellness Center) will be available for warmups Friday morning and afternoon. Teams will be responsible for providing appropriate equipment (indoor balls and proper footwear) if requesting the use of an indoor facility.

Each team is permitted infield practice prior to each team's first game of each day.

Pre-game schedule for each team's first game of the day

  • Home team infield - 8 minutes - 25:00
  • Visiting team infield - 8 minutes - 17:00
  • Coaches and Umpires meeting - 3 minutes - 9:00
  • National Anthem - 1 minute - 6:00
  • Team introductions - 5 minutes - 5:00
  • Play Ball!

The National Anthem will only be played prior to the first game each day.

Introductions Top of Page

Each field will have an announcer and an official scorer. Every member of each team will be introduced prior to the team’s first game and the championship game. For all other games only the starters will be introduced.

Field Preparations Top of Page

Full field preparation will be done after every two games. The fields will be chalked and raked after each game.

Locker Rooms Top of Page

Locker rooms are not available at Liebaert Field. Teams should come to the park dressed for the games.

Concessions Top of Page

Concessions will be available throughout the tournament.

Athletic Trainers Top of Page

A certified athletic trainer will be on-site for each game and ice and water will be available. If there are any specific needs please contact the staff ahead of time.

Fences Top of Page

Fences will be 200 feet.

Parking Top of Page

All day Friday and Saturday morning team vans and buses may park in the baseball parking lot. All other vehicles may park in any remaining space and runoff will be allowed to park on the residential streets.

Tickets Top of Page

Tickets will be available for purchase on-site for $8.00/adult and $6.00/student with a valid Student ID, seniors and children.

Towels Top of Page

You must bring your own towels.

Practice Balls Top of Page

You are responsible for bringing your own balls for warm-ups.

Game Balls Top of Page

Game balls will be provided. The game ball will be the Wilson A9010 SST.

T-Shirts Top of Page

Short sleeve T-shirts are $15.00 each and long sleeve T-shirts are available for $18.00 each. An order form for the T-shirts is available in the Tournament Brochure. Please complete the order form and return by Noon on April 22, 2009. The order form can be faxed to 715-395-4639 (Attn: Nichole Tessier) or you may email your order to ntessier@uwsuper.edu. T-shirts will be distributed at the tournament table at Liebaert Fields. Please make checks payable to UW-Superior Athletics.

Tournament programs will be sold throughout the event at $2.00 each. Each team will receive five (5) complimentary programs.

Dining Top of Page

There are many area restaurants within a short drive of the tournament complex and team hotel. Please see the brochure and check the Superior/Douglas County Chamber of Commerce website for any coupons or local promotions.
