'Jackets end season in Oshkosh

The UWS women's volleyball team, ended their 2008 season with a road loss at UW-Oshkosh. The Titans who came in as the #2 seed in the conference tournament started off hot, winning the first game 25-13. The second game would be a thriller that involved many different lead changes, but in the end resulted in a Titans win, 25-23. The final game would also come down to the end, with the Yellowjackets leading late, but not being able to finish the game. UWO finished off the 'Jackets with another score of 25-23.

Brittany Jarvis (Sr.-Esko, MN) led the 'Jackets with 10 kills in her final game. Kayla Finck (So.-Bertha, MN) had 28 set assists, while Samantha Blake (Jr.-Blaine, MN) had 12 digs.

Kelsey Mauer had 10 kills for the Titans and Katelyn Vara added 38 assists.

The Titans will now face UW-La Crosse at 5:00 p.m. on Friday night. The semifinals and finals will be held on the campus of UW-Eau Claire. UW-Whitewater will be playing the 7:00 p.m. match against UW-Eau Claire.

The Yellowjackets finish the season 13-19 overall, with a 2-6 conference record.
