Lynne Deadrick will embark on her fourth season with the Yellowjacket volleyball program this fall. A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Lynne graduated from Duluth Morgan Park High School in 1982. Lynne has an extensive background in athletics, participating in volleyball, basketball, softball, track and field, and golf while in high school. She then went on to compete at Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minnesota, in volleyball, basketball, track, and softball. In 1983, her Vermilion Volleyball Team place tenth in the nation at the National Junior College Athletic Association National Tournament. After obtaining her associate of arts degree at Vermilion, Lynne moved on to the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, where she participated in volleyball winning the 1984 National Little College Athletic Association Championship. In 1985, Lynne moved on to the University of Minnesota-Duluth where she played volleyball and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broad area and life science in 1987, along with a coaching certificate. Lynne went on to obtain her master’s degree in instruction from UW-Superior in 1996. With 16 years of collegiate level volleyball coaching experience, Lynne is looking at moving the UW-Superior women’s volleyball program forward. She and her husband, Shane, who is a UW-Superior admission’s counselor, have been married for 18 years. They have three children- Kayla (15), Keely (14), and Kory (10). They reside in Esko, Minnesota.
