Krystal Carlson, student supervisor for the Superior Outdoor Adventure Program, is very excited about the winter and you can be too. Between skiing and snowboarding, snowshoeing and snowman making, there is plenty to keep you active and busy in this cold time. Many of these winter sports can be attempted no matter your experience or physical prowess, just get out there and try them! Looking to take your first adventure into the fluff over winter break? Contact Krystal and she can set you up with an entire package of cross country skis, poles, and boots for your outing. Snowshoes are also available and can be a very fun way to do some off-road walking this winter. Krystal has a wealth of winter knowledge and can be contacted with any questions you may have about SOAP, being active in the winter, or even the correct way to shovel snow. Have specific questions? Contact Krystal!
Not feeling motivated to get outside? Try out one of our S.A.D. lights! Student Health and Counseling Services has Seasonal Affective Disorder lights that can be checked out at the Jim Dan Hill Library for hourly use. This could be just the pick me up you need!
