ResNet is committed to making sure students are able to use their laptops or desktops for their academic needs. To meet that commitment ResNet provides maintenance for computing. Residents need to bring the computer to ResNet, located in the basement of the Yellowjacket Union, for diagnostics and any repair work that ResNet can help with. Beyond diagnostics and repair, ResNet also helps student with programs and antivirus software. In order to access the UW-Superior network computers need to have a standard minimum of American antivirus software; students can gain that software for free online or from ResNet directly. Off campus students have access similar services via Technology Services located in McCaskill Hall.
ResNet operates within a liberal arts tradition by offering student employment to students no matter their major. ResNet looks for students who have a working knowledge of computers, are willing to learn, and like working in a small but important office. Over the past 4 years they have had a variety of majors such as: Transportation and Logistics, Business, Finance, and Sociology. ResNet will be hiring soon! Technology is an important part of a student's education and ResNet is just one more way that students who live in the halls are supported in their academic endeavors.
