Volunteers are essential to fund development and to the operations of an effective nonprofit. Volunteers play critical roles in organizing events, soliciting donors and serving on fund development committees. Attend this workshop to learn the best practices for understanding volunteer motivation, designing volunteer position descriptions, recruiting volunteers, supervising volunteers, and recognizing volunteers. Gain understanding of the trends in volunteer availability and strategies to capitalize on these trends. Explore with your peers special considerations in training volunteers for fund development roles and how to maximize the engagement of volunteers for successful fundraising.
