Mediation and Conflict Resolution Certificate
News and Event Details
Each summer a cohort of students spends intensive hours developing and sharpening skills that numerous employers are seeking in today's ideal employment candidate.
Many conflict resolution skills, such as effective listening and communicating, problem solving, impartiality, and decision-making are core components of effective leadership which are sought by employers.
As part of the annual summer Mediation and Conflict Resolution Certificate Program, students practice application of their skills by conducting practice mediation sessions in real-life role play settings. Students are then able to watch, evaluate and critique their sessions with the guidance of the mediation program instructors.
Many of the students participating in this annual cohort are seeking to become mediators, are interested in law related careers or wish to develop their skills for various leadership roles at different levels of an organization.
