Utilizing data from the web can help increase the success of your grants. One way of building your case is to document the need as evidenced in current research. In this session you will learn how to sift through confusing and inconsistent information to access data that will help build the case for your project. In addition, you will learn how to best use an array of contemporary online and print resources available in our new Foundation Collection center.
You will discover how to create a customized search to develop a targeted list of funders to match your needs. We will walk you through the steps of how to utilize the nine Foundation Center databases including: grantmakers, grants, companies, 990s, news, jobs, RFPs, nonprofit literature and "Pubhub" reports. This workshop is an essential one for grantwriters and individuals who want to enhance and expand their knowledge and become more targeted in their approach with funding requests.
