Overview

Each child is unique, with diverse life experiences and needs. But how does a teacher provide the best curriculum and learning environment so each child is able to grow and develop? This seminar will provide you with a wide range of techniques for modifying and managing your classroom or program to support all childrens' learning.

After attending this seminar you will be able to:
  • Incorporate easy modifications that do not stray far from original plans but meet the needs of all ability levels
  • Explore teaching methods to foster inclusion and celebrate diversity in the classroom
  • Critically examine environment to identify causes of challenging behaviors
  • Learn how to set up environment and plan curriculum that meets the needs of boys
  • Guide children's play interactions with their peers
  • Identify learning styles of children and incorporate activities that emphasizes individual strengths
  • Create a variety of tools to take with you and use right away
This seminar is appropriate for:
  • Head Start Teachers
  • 4K Teachers
  • Childcare Providers
  • K-2nd Grade Teachers
  • Anyone who works with children ages 3-8

About the Instructor

Becky Gamache - Becky Gamache has over 15 years experience in early childhood education. She received her MA degree in early childhood education from Concordia University. Becky has taught parent education; infant, toddler and preschool classes; and undergraduate students in AA and BA early education programs. For the past 11 years she has been the regular education teacher in a "team-taught" inclusive classroom.
