In addition to courses that meet in the evening, some are online, independent study, or have later start dates. The programs and courses below are some highlights for Summer and Fall 2012. Please be familiar with these courses as they might be great additions for students looking to fill schedules or seeking additional learning opportunities.
Students can register for courses through their E-Hive or at the Registrar's Office when E-Hive registration is not available.
Mediation/Conflict Resolution Certificate Program
This year we have streamlined our core program, which now consists of five foundational courses (9 credits) that can be completed within one summer. Completion of the core courses will satisfy Minnesota Rule 114 facilitative mediation roster requirements for civil (30 hours) or family law (40 hours), and offers valuable interpersonal skill-building. Find more info at www.uwsuper.edu/mediation.
Summer Courses at Pigeon LakeEach summer the Center for Continuing Education offers courses at the Pigeon Lake Field Station, located in Drummond, WI, in the western part of the Chequamegon National Forest. The Pigeon Lake Field Station offers a unique learning experience and is a great alternative to a traditional classroom course. Find a 2012 course list and more info at www.uwsuper.edu/pigeonlake.
