Located on 50 acres in the beautiful Chequamegon National Forest, the Discovery Center is home to birch, pine and poplar trees that tower over the lodging cabins and classroom buildings, miles of trails, traverse woodlands, wetlands, streams and meadows.
Take advantage of kayaking, canoeing and fishing opportunities on Pigeon Lake, and enjoy evening campfires at fire pits on the beach.
Find more information about the Pigeon Lake Field Station on the UW-River Falls Pigeon Lake webpage.
The Center for Continuing Education encourages you to consider the Pigeon Lake Field Station as the next place for a summer course. Instructors get their own cabin complete with a bathroom and kitchen. The Center for Continuing Education also pays for your room and meals for the entire stay.
Students who enroll in Pigeon Lake courses stay in cabins onsite for the duration of the class, which usually run for 4 to 5 days.
If you are an instructor at UW-Superior and are interested in teaching a summer course at Pigeon Lake, contact Marna Banks at mbanks@uwsuper.edu or (715) 394-8033.
