The University of Wisconsin-Superior has named Ryan Matara to serve as director of the university's Continuing Education and Summer College programs.

Matara joins the UW-Superior campus community from the America's Byways Resource Center in Duluth, where he served for the past year as training specialist. He previously spent 10 years as a human resources performance specialist at Grand Casino Hinckley, and as a training specialist for MTI Fingerhut, Duluth.

Matara holds a master of arts degree in management and a bachelor's degree in organizational behavior, both from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
