Emily Levings joined the staff of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in the summer of 2009. Her duties involve assisting UW-Superior's CETL staff and advisory committee to provide opportunities for faculty and academic teaching staff to enhance their teaching and learning practices.
She provides administrative, marketing, accounting, and travel coordination assistance for CETL projects which include workshops, conferences, new faculty orientation sessions, book clubs, faculty conversations series, instructional technology development and involvement with OPID and UW System opportunities.
Emily came to the "northland" in 1997 from the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. In 1998 she joined UW-Superior's community as the Academic Department Associate for the Teacher Education Department. She lives with her husband and two cats on a sustainable farm, raising their own vegetables and laying hens in Lakeside Township, Wisconsin. She has two grown sons, both graduates of UW-Superior. Emily graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Maryland at College Park.
