OPENINGS for CETL's Book Club on General Education Essentials

Posted on Sep 5, 2012
Join Eri Fujieda and several General Education instructors on three Monday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.: October 22nd, October 29th, and November 5th, as they engage in discussions about the essentials of General Education coursework.

Please register by Friday, October 5th, to allow time for CETL to purchase a complimentary copy of the book for you, so that you'll have at least a week to review it prior to the first meeting.  To reserve a place in the bookclub (and initiate purchase of your copy) contact Emily Levings at cetl@uwsuper.edu (or call her at extension 8548) by October 5th.

The book General Education Essentials: A Guide for College Faculty, by Professor Paul Hanstedt of Roanoke College, will serve as the guide for this second CETL Fall 2012 Book Club.  This club is tentatively scheduled to meet in the CETL Seminar Room in Swenson Hall, Room 2074.

For more information about the book and its author, link on the highlighted book title above.

This is the second in a series of CETL book clubs in the Fall of 2012.  It will be a great follow-up to the initial book club on the liberal arts, facilitated by Chris Cherry and Joel Sipress:  Why Choose the Liberal Arts, by Professor Mark William Roche of the University of Notre Dame.
