News and Events Details
While the deadline has passed for most of our scholarships (now under review), we have just learned about a new scholarship from Enbridge.
To be eligible, you must be a Sustainable Management (SMGT) student with at least 28 credits and living in the U.S. or Canada. Submit a UW-Superior Foundation Scholarship Application form (which will download directly to your computer) to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, March 31.
If you hope to receive financial aid for this summer, you must submit a Summer Financial Aid Application form to the Financial Aid Office by May 16. They will not process summer aid applications after that date.
To be eligible for summer financial aid:
Last Day to Drop or Withdraw without a Petition
If you are struggling with one or more classes this spring, you have until Friday, April 4, to drop the class, or withdraw from the term (i.e., drop all your classes), with a Drop/Add form and $20 late-drop fee.
After April 4, you will also need a Petition form. The Registrar says only petitions with compelling reasons will be considered for approval of late drops.
Registration for Summer and Fall 2014
Registration for Summer and Fall 2014 begins Monday, April 7.
Preparing to register? Here are some tips:
Would you like to meet with a Distance Learning Outreach Specialist/Advisor who might be visiting a campus near you? Our Calendar of Events includes scheduled campus visits. Watch for one in your area!
Although you may live far from UW-Superior, many campus resources are available to you. These include library services, online tutoring and writing help, tech support, counseling, disability and career services, and more! Details regarding these services may be found on our Academic Support page. Veterans will want to be sure to visit the Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center.
Our Cyber Cafe is like an online student union. It's a place to learn more about distance learning and connect with other DL students. You should see the Cyber Cafe in Learn@UW-Superior ("D2L") with your other courses. The information is mostly in Course News, Content and Discussions. Click into any discussion, to see a sidebar showing all discussion topics and threads. Elementary Education majors are active in the discussion that focuses on that major.
A few weeks ago, DL students should have received an email regarding a survey about your distance learning experience. The Priorities Survey for Online Learners is conducted nationally every year by Noel-Levitz, Inc. Your feedback will provide us with insights about your experience. Your responses will help us determine what is working and how we can improve. If you missed the original email, watch for a follow-up email. Two lucky respondents will win awesome sweatshirts.
